random latex allergy-related fact

so my professor just dropped some knowledge on us (as is her job) about how to be mindful of latex allergies

while plenty of equipment is latex-free, did you know that on those viles that you have to draw up with a vile-access canula or w/e into a syringe..the gray covering that gets punctured (underneath the colorful cap you remove) is made of latex? so for a person w/ a latex allergy or who may be more likely to develop one (like a spina bifida kid) you want to remove that as well

i never would’ve known to even consider that..and would have been responsible for some reaction =/
